Candi's Chutney's Asparagus Chutney is an original recipe using East Anglian grown asparagus complemented with English mustard powder and turmeric.
This chutney pairs perfectly with cold meats, smoked fish and soft cheeses.
At Candi's Chutney they strongly believe in the use of seasonal and regional produce from our home region of East Anglia to help make their recipes stronger than they already are.
Here at Candi’s Cupboard, based in the heart of Norfolk, we handcraft a range of award-winning chutney made using only fresh, British grown produce which supplies many of Norfolk’s farm shops, Cafes and restaurants so that it can be enjoyed by the masses in action or from your own home. Our range of chutney is extensive yet delicious and consistent, with our most known flavours being the; “Norfolk Crier Onion Marmalade” - this chutney is purely about showcasing the onion to make a versatile yet simple onion marmalade, “Parsnip & Chilli Chutney” - this flavour started the company 10 years ago and was a hit among our valued customers with initial flavours and notes of the parsnip and a warming afternote from the chilli and other spices and our “Norfolk Knobbly Piccalilli” - which is our take on a piccalilli consisting of only celeriac and onion rather than a medley of vegetables.
Alongside producing our handcrafted and rich flavoured Steak Sauces based on an Edwardian and Norfolk recipe, these are available all year round, the unique and “very saucy” flavours are proving to be a family favourite around the region. This range consists of the; “Classic” flavour which strongly resembles its Edwardian roots, as well as the more modern variants “Chilli” and “Smokey”.
While more recently releasing our “Weirdly Wonderful Retro Relishes” which make the perfect addition to any dish, BBQ or picnic among much more. This range consists of the three flavours; “Gherkin & Onion”, “Sweetcorn & Chilli” and the “Tomato & Red Pepper Relish”.
Ingredients: East Anglian Asparagus (36%), Onion, Distilled Malt Barley Vinegar (Barley, Gluten), Granulated Sugar, Colman's English Mustard Powder (Mustard), Nigella Seeds, Red Chilli Flakes, Ground Turmeric, Cornflour, Sea Salt.
Once opened, store in refrigerator and consume within 8 weeks. Contains Whole Spices.
